The place was cleared of vegetation in the 1930s by Henri Marchal and Georges Trouvè. Later, the towers were restored on the initiative of Bernard Philippe Groslier from 1962 to 1966, adding some new bricks that are marked with a "CA" (meaning "Conservation Angkor").
The temple is orientated towards the East and is surrounded by a small moat. Its exterior is impressive for its classic lines and symmetry. The central tower and the south have superstructures that take advantage of the false perspective by simple means of descending levels. The interiors of the sanctuary are notable for the large, low relief depictions of Vishnu and Lakshmi that were carved into the walls of reddish bricks, connected by a vegetable compost. This type of sculptured work of art is quite common in the temples of Cham, but is rare in Khmer monuments known.
