Prey Monty Temple

Transition between Kompong Preah (eighth century AD 706, 800) and Kulen style (first half of the ninth century AD 802-850). CONTENTS Contains a group of 3 brick towers and lay side by side on a low common laterite base and each of which had a door that opened to the east side and the other 3 doors were false doors. The lintel columns were made of sandstone. Formerly surrounded by a wall of bricks, but today only remains the remains. A sandstone tank can be seen in the northeast corner of this temple, which was used as a healing power tank to heal the sick person (the king).

  • Location: south of Bakong, Preah Ko and Lolei Temples.
  • Access: enter and exit the west entrance.
  • Date: 8th century until the beginning of the 9th century.
  • King: Jayavarman 2nd. - Religion: Hinduism (Siva).
